Let’s take the field! Join the Washington Nationals Baseball Club and the Dream Foundation in celebration of a new season of baseball and the team’s steadfast commitment to meaningful community initiatives at Dream Gala 2014—a fun and glamorous evening made possible by presenting sponsor, the Marriott Marquis Washington D.C.
The black tie evening will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by a seated dinner and program. The entire Nationals organization will be in attendance, including the active player roster, General Manager Mike Rizzo and Manager Matt Williams. Guests will mingle with the team during the cocktail reception, and table sponsorships include the company of a player during dinner.
The Dream Gala has netted $3.4 million to date in support of the Dream Foundation’s three cornerstone projects: the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy; the Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s Nationals Medical Center; and the Neighborhood Initiative.
The past year has been a busy and successful one, highlighted by the opening of the Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children’s Nationals Medical Center (WNDCC) and the completion of the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy. The WNDCC began operations in June, 2013, and now provides thousands of children with diabetes access to unparalleled resources. The Youth Baseball Academy held its ribbon cutting in March, 2014, and invited the first class of scholar-athletes to take the field at its sparkling, nine-acre facility in Ft. Dupont Park, where it will provide academic and athletic instruction to children in Wards 7 and 8.
The team and the Dream Foundation hope to continue to build upon this success with even more community milestones in 2014!
