Dream Gala 2013
Saturday, June 22, 2013

Dear Friend,

We are ready to paint the town red!

The excitement following the Washington Nationals memorable performance last season clearly left an indelible mark on the Nation’s Capital. While we’re proud of the impact our NL East Champions and charitable arm, the Dream Foundation, have had on the region, both on and off the field, we can’t help but reflect on the outstanding support Nationals fans like you have provided in our efforts to enhance the lives of local children and their families. We hope we can count on that same level of generosity this season, as years of hard work are set to culminate with the construction of the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy and the Washington Nationals Pediatric Diabetes Care Complex, both scheduled to open this year!

To celebrate the Nationals achievements on the field and in the community, the Dream Foundation cordially invites you to paint the town red at Dream Gala 2013 on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shakespeare Theatre’s Sidney Harman Hall. This sleek new location gives us the opportunity to offer simultaneous events, with Field of Dreams and Double Play sponsors receiving exclusive access to players and other baseball personalities during the VIP Stage Party and Silent Auction, while invited guests enjoy a sophisticated selection of fine food, wine and cocktails, as well as an exciting silent auction in the beautiful main reception area of Harman Hall. All guests will then move into the theater, where Nationals broadcasters Bob Carpenter and F.P. Santangelo will emcee an entertaining presentation featuring the team, followed by a live auction. The evening will conclude with dessert and yet another opportunity for guests to mingle with players and team executives.

Over the past seven years, the Dream Gala has raised more than $3.1 million in support of our three cornerstone programs:  the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy; the Washington Nationals Pediatric Diabetes Care Complex at Children's National Medical Center; and the Neighborhood Initiative.

We thank you for your continued support of our mission, and we look forward to seeing you on June 22—resplendent in red, of course!

Sincerely,

Marla Lerner Tanenbaum
Chair, Washington Nationals Dream Foundation
